Contractor Registration law

Contractor Registration took effect January 1, 2006. All individuals performing work as defined in the law must register with the Department of Consumer Affairs.

A122– Prohibits public employees from enrolling for health benefits with more than one public entity

A1196—Increase annual compensation for retired PERS members from $15,000 to $25,000

A1429—Makes pool barriers a requirement upon resale

S971—Licensed PE must be a member of the Board of Appeals

S1668—Changes PERS retirement age calculator from 55 to 60 was withdrawn on May 4, 2006

A2720—recognizes Technical Assistants and appointments

A409/S863—Mutual Aid for inspectors is in its final stages.  Some of the proposed language seems to be holding this up

A670/S149—Municipalities to oversee and discipline Code Official

S233—Gives tenure to Fire Officials and Inspectors after 4 years
