Total Well-Being Goes Hand in Hand With Physical and Mental Health



If we are going to define mental health on a simpler term, it simply means the absence of any mental illness or disorder. It is also associated with emotional well-being. Well-being describes the happiness, confidence, general outlook on life and physical condition of a person. It shows the feeling of an individual, and how they take care of themselves and handle responsibilities.

Well-being goes hand in hand with healthy living. When well-being talks about emotional, mental and social aspect, healthy living on the other hand, deals on the physical aspect of taking care of the body. It talks about eating a balanced meal, avoiding illness and taking a regular exercise program.

A total well-being is a state wherein a person can work in a productive manner and able to contribute something significant to his community. If a person is on such state of well-being, he has the capabilities to work even on a stressful environment; he can enjoy life to the fullest, become more flexible and creative in dealing with problems and any concern that may challenge his emotional and sociological way of thinking.
